What details do you need to provide us with if your item is accepted for auction?2024-12-05T21:30:51+00:00

To provide buyers with the most accurate descriptions, we encourage sellers to offer as much information as possible when submitting a request, such as condition, history, or appearance. This is particularly important when offering a signed item for example, so that in addition to providing our own expertise and due diligence, we can also use the seller’s description to lend as much provenance to the item as possible.

Will my item be accepted?2024-12-05T21:30:58+00:00

We cannot guarantee that every item will be accepted in our auction. We are committed to offering only the highest quality items, and we do not accept reprinted or reproduction items, however we will give equal consideration to everything offered to us, without prejudice. Private and Trade sellers are equally encouraged to use our platform.

How do I consign a lot for auction?2024-12-05T21:28:45+00:00

Auction items are submitted for consideration by their owners then reviewed and curated by HammerDown Automobilia’s in-house team of specialists. To start the process, register for an account, then simply upload your item/s to our website using our user-friendly template, or alternatively email us directly with your request. Our specialist Automobilia team will then evaluate your item/s for entry into our online sale. We endeavour for all accepted lots to be uploaded onto our platform within a month, however exact timings will be dependent on volumes and whether external review is required by a specialist to verify the authenticity of a particular item. Once your entry has been accepted, you will be asked to register on our secure site and provide us with your credit card details (so that we can pay you directly at the end of the auction). Then, simply send the item/s to one of our secure locations and our team will work on the detailed description and photographs for the lot to be entered directly into our online sale. All auctions will follow a 10-day format with the ability to set a reserve price.
